Much of our work during this phase serves to decrease liability (infringement) concerns, ensure appropriate protection of intellectual assets to preserve value and increase future innovation, commercialization and revenue to the company. During our educational programs, we increase awareness of the value potential inherent in intellectual assets commercialization and help employees learn how to identify protectable intellectual assets. Some of our clients have subsequently set up a reward system for inventions that are chosen for patent protection. Such programs help create an organizational culture shift that can enhance our clients' intellectual asset opportunities.
LAVA Group also collects and evaluates quantitative and qualitative feedback from relevant departments regarding intellectual asset management effectiveness. This provides a formal opportunity to assess changes in performance relative to intellectual asset management goals and adjust under-performing areas as necessary.
