Eric W. Hartz is executive director and part of the founding team of LAVA Group, Inc. He also serves a variety of companies as board member or advisor, and is an adjunct at Emory Business School. Eric served as CEO, President and Board Director of ZapMedia - a digital entertainment and convergence company that created the first CD/DVD, web connected, digital jukebox. Eric was also a founding member, President and Board Director of Security First Network Bank, the World's First Internet Bank, applying his expertise to creating what is S1 Corporation today. (NASDAQ Symbol: SONE) Before SFNB/S1, he was a consultant with McKinsey & Co. in Atlanta, Georgia, Washington, DC and Paris, France, focusing on strategy, marketing, innovative technologies, product development and operations improvement across a wide array of industries. Eric also serves on a variety of volunteer boards including SciTrek, Atlanta's Science and Technology Museum, where he is Vice Chairman, and the CEO High Tech Council.
Eric holds an MBA from Wharton Business School with honors, and degrees in economics and chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania.
